About Me

I’m a Mexican home cook turned culinary archivist and recipe developer. My work sits at the intersection of family memory, migration stories, and structured knowledge.

Growing up between kitchens in Mexico and the diaspora, I watched recipes evolve through adaptation, translation, and quiet innovation. That observation became a conviction: recipes are not documents — they are living, forkable cultural objects.

In 2026 I released UMF (Ummi Markup Format), the first graph-native standard for culinary knowledge. Amanah is its reference implementation — the place where recipes have provenance, lineage, deterministic dietary logic, and proper fork governance.

Philosophy

• Every recipe should have a traceable history.
• Every adaptation should give credit, not erase it.
• Every family archive should outlive its author.
• Cooking is infrastructure, not content.

I build tools that treat food the way developers treat code: versioned, forkable, testable, and improvable by a community.
